An idea that wouldn’t let go

Floati didn’t begin with a business plan or a round of investment.
It started with a simple fascination: the thought that it might be possible to make a plant pot float. No marketing strategy, no target audience analysis just an idea that stuck during a conversation between friends who loved technology, design and a bit of stubborn curiosity.

In the months that followed, a hobby project slowly turned into an obsession. Magnets were ordered, 3D printers fired up and evenings sacrificed to prototypes that either crashed or wouldn’t lift off. But step by step, we got closer. Until one day, that magical first floating plant pot hovered quietly above its wooden base. Gently spinning. Perfectly balanced. A small moment of magic, right in the middle of the kitchen table.

What started as a technical experiment quickly became something people responded to. “Where can I buy this?” they asked. And that’s when we knew: there’s something here.

Light, technology and design

After the plant pot, we wanted to explore whether we could combine levitation with something functional. That led to our second product: the floating light bulb.

The bulb floats above a wooden base and is completely wireless no visible connections, no cords. A subtle touch button on the base lets you switch the light on and off. It’s not just a beautiful object to look at, but a fully functional product.

To us, this lamp symbolizes the fusion of art and technology. The floating element sparks wonder, while the minimalist design fits seamlessly into interiors. It’s a practical nightlight, an atmospheric piece and a conversation starter all at once. That intersection of aesthetics and functionality, that’s where we feel at home.

A piece of space in your room

After the plant pot and the light bulb, we felt it: this concept had even more potential. Not everything has to be functional, sometimes something can simply exist to inspire wonder. That’s how our third product was born: the floating moon lamp.

This lamp is a detailed, 3D-printed replica of the moon’s surface, based on real NASA data. Once it floats above its base, it begins to slowly spin. Not fast. Not bright. But as if you’re looking at the real moon, slowly turning in an endless, silent space.

It’s an object that brings calm. Something that makes people pause. In a world that moves fast and digitally, the moon lamp offers the opposite: slowness, softness, and beauty.

The technology behind the magic

Though our products may look like they contain magic, the technology behind them is precise and deliberate. We use magnetic levitation a technique where powerful permanent magnets and electromagnetic coils work together to suspend objects in mid-air. With the help of sensors and feedback systems, we ensure that each object hovers at exactly the right point, without wobbling or drifting.

Each product requires a unique balance. A plant pot needs different stability than a rotating moon. That’s why we design and develop all our levitation system electronics in-house, tailored to shape, weight and use. What you see is simple and quiet what happens beneath is anything but. And that’s exactly how we want it: technology that doesn’t distract, but delights.

Today and tomorrow

Today, Floati has grown into a small team of designers, engineers and creative dreamers who believe that technology can be more than just practical. It can be beautiful. Even poetic.

Our collection grows with care and every new design still starts with the same question as back then: “What if…?”

We create floating objects that make people pause. Look. Smile.
And that’s exactly why we exist.
